Itinerary
Dehradun to Uttarkashi
Drive from Dehradun to Uttarkashi. Overnight stay.
Uttarkashi to Gangotri to Chirbasa
Drive to Gangotri. Trek 9 km to Chirbasa through cedar forests.
Chirbasa to Bhojbasa
Trek 5 km to Bhojbasa. Views of Bhagirathi peaks begin.
Bhojbasa to Gaumukh to Tapovan
Trek to Gaumukh glacier (source of Ganges). Continue to Tapovan meadow with Shivling views.
Tapovan to Chirbasa
Descend through Gaumukh back to Chirbasa.
Chirbasa to Gangotri to Dehradun
Descend to Gangotri. Drive back to Dehradun.
